Emery Walker's House
The best preserved arts & crafts interior in britain...
No 7 Hammersmith Terrace is a tall terraced house on the River Thames at Hammersmith in west London. Its sober Georgian exterior hides a secret – inside the Arts & Crafts interiors have been preserved as they were in the lifetime of the printer, photographer and key member of the Arts & Crafts Movement, Sir Emery Walker (1851-1933), a great friend and mentor to William Morris.

We regret that wheelchair or step free access is not possible. Lighting levels are low throughout the building. Due to the constraints of space, the high density of furniture and precious objects, and to help conserve the fragile collections, the house is unsuitable for young children.
